I love this song

I've never heard the original, but this version is great. It almost has a haunting quality to it at some parts, which is interesting since it's a puppet film song. My only complaint is that the guitar synth isn't as good as the synth you used in the first half of the song.

Thank you for making such an addicting song, I keep on returning to hear it! Also, I've heard a bunch of your other songs and even used two of them in my game Two Rooms. Check it out if you haven't already.

cycerin responds:

Thanks! :) What guitar synth are you talking about, though? Videogame lead =/= guitar

Not that good

Sorry, but there's too much distortion on that lead instrument and the drums are annoying. Maybe its not my style, but this just isn't pleasant to the ears.

SonicJ responds:

I liked it. Thanks for the review though!

This is great

This is an incredibly good song!!! Really, there's nothing much else to say...

SkyMarshall responds:

Well ... pure awesome is what your review is.
Short, sweet and motivational. Thanks =)

Excellent

I just love the melodies you throw into all of your songs. The string piece in the middle is amazing, reminding me of the band Hybrid.

Great work

Waterflame responds:

Haha actually hybrid has been one of my faviourite bands since i was 14. i even got the games they made exclusive tracks for, just to own everything they ever made T_T today im not as into them as i was, but i still love them and they still place in the top 20 of all time faviourite bands/artists. so i cant deny inspiration from those awesome guys. :D thanks!

Nice

Out of nowhere I decided to check out your recent music (if you're wondering I wrote a review for Galactic Crunch).

The piano melody you have is a great intro which really sets the tone for this very solemn and chill track. The drums are also very good, including the transition sequence which is much better than in the other song I reviewed a while ago. My only complaint is that there is too much empty noise at the end. Great song though, obviously you have improved since my other review.

flashmac responds:

Oh man, I forgot to take out the empty space at the end! haha, I'll try to get that done very soon. Thanks for pointing that out haha and thanks for the review man, it's good to hear positive feedback.

Awesome puzzle game song

Remember the puzzle game music thread a couple of days ago, well my brother petwoip (he made the thread) and I decided that your song would fit quite well in our game - and yeah, even better than those multi-thousand downloaded songs you listed. You have a great song here, the clarity is especially amazing! I've had the chance to browse through your other songs too and most of them sound really cool. In fact, I've even downloaded some of them, which I don't do often.

Our game should be finished before September, and I promise you it will be good. In the meantime, maybe you can check out some of my songs.

Gloudas responds:

cool, its awesome to hear you guys liked it so much! Now I'm really excited for your game!
Thanks for reviewing :D

This song makes me feel happy

I know I've already reviewed the first "I'd Rather Be Flying", but I must say that this is better for a combination of small reasons. Overall the sound feels much fuller than the first (it fills my whole speaker spectrum). This probably has to do with different pads and background synths, and maybe even the drums. The improved sound quality and mastering makes it a more enriched listening experience.

Now, I once said that I'd use your song Call_me in a flash game, but I'm probably not going to. However, I think this would fit in my newest game which should be done by the time school comes around. By the way, I know what its like to lose years of songs because of a hard drive crash. It happened to me about 2 years ago and the whole thing made me break away from my old account sebby_man.

And one last thing, I'd appreciate it if you checked out my song Ethnic Chill or my newest one, Mansion.

Turning-Japanese responds:

The crash definitely sucked bigtime, but I've recovered quite a bit of what I once had; I was lucky enough to have a lot of it backed up. Thanks for cranking the tunes and comparing this with the old version - I wasn't getting a lot of feedback.

Good luck with the game making, and I'll totally check out your song.

Actually pretty good!

At first I was a bit afraid that this song wouldn't turn out that great because of the somewhat slow beginning. Yet I listened on and enjoyed it, especially the chorus. The transition instrument wasn't a great choice and other parts of the song were shaky, but good stuff overall. Oh yeah, and its nice to here that you use Reason (I heard it in the One2 drums).

Check out my newest song too.

flashmac responds:

Thanks for the great review. I got a lot of tips and yes those are the One2 drums, good ear! I'll check out your track.

Pretty good

I forgot to mention this in your other song but it applies here - you NEED to find stronger drums, especially the kick. Bass was a bit too loud, try to tone that down. I did like the feel of the song though. I really think you have lots of potential but somewhat weak instruments are getting in your way.

Oh, and is this song supposed to have some anarchist message or something?? Just wondering.

hardcoresum41fan responds:

yea, its supposed to have a governmental message

in the beginning its soft words spoken by the gov't that indicate bad things to happen; then the reality is the hardness of the guitar after the pause

and the retarded ending shows future demise and how we arent doing anything to stop a bad future from comming

So-so

Sorry but I got quite bored listening to this. You should try to change around the melody and effects you use. Basically, you have a simple melody which you then accompany with a pretty cool bass, and then ok drums. The song isn't as repetitive as others that I've heard, but its lacking some effort.

Jephz responds:

alright, I'll try to do better next time.

I thank you deeply for visiting my page.
